We live at the heart of the village – a two minute walk to the shop and office is a bit of a drudge, sometimes Sean cycles on his pride and joy – a fully restored 1923 Humber. We have four children (two boys and two girls) between us also a cat and of course Bertie the Border Terrier; he is often in the shop much to the delight (most of the time anyway) of the customers. It’s a fact that Bertie is indeed a bigger pull to the shop than we are!
How do we choose the stuff we sell?
Caroline is the consummate shopper and so whenever we are out or on holiday we are always on the lookout of for new exciting stuff for the shop. We also go to trade shows and have people approaching us with ideas. Shopping is what we do! Our inspiration comes from what we see, read about or what we are told about by our customers and friends – we never really stop thinking about it.
Our aim is to get better at what we do and to offer stuff that no else has to ensure we continue to be a unique shop.
The point is that we only sell stuff that we love, stuff that we have tested and that works.
We only sell it if we like it and are convinced that you will love it too. That’s why our shop is full of lovely stuff!
